If you had a bad day… just tap.

Just Tap is a small, gentle incremental game about getting through a grey day, one tap at a time.

A single line of ink climbs through barriers. Every tap pushes it a little further — and as it climbs, the world is drawn around you: arches, bridges and towers sketch themselves in the distance, a giant bird circles the tower, and every sound you make falls on the music's beat.

Nothing punishes you. Some barriers push back; you grow a little, and try again.

And slowly, the colour comes back.

In this demo

  • The first 40 barriers of the day — about 30 minutes.
  • Two chapters: the grey and the red.
  • Star circuits: your light splits into many and runs a turning star.
  • A tree of upgrades that grows upward, like the line.
  • An original, fully harmonic score: every tap, every break and every construction is a note of the same piece.
  • A voice that keeps you company — and something that happens at the end.
  • English and Spanish.

Grow your tree

Every barrier you break gives you light. Spend it on the tree — your upgrades — and the tree grows upward, branch by branch, as new ones unlock. How you grow it is your build:

  • Strength — how hard each tap pushes. The root of everything.
  • Gain — more light from every barrier and every tap, so the tree grows faster.
  • Pulse — the line beats on its own. Let it climb while you rest.
  • Resonance — taps in a row build a combo. Keep a rhythm.
  • Corrosion — barriers heal more slowly. For the ones that keep pushing back.
  • Echo — a tap can repeat itself.
  • Flash — a chance for a tap to hit four times as hard.

Barriers start to heal themselves, and soon your fingers alone aren't enough. That's when the tree matters: tap harder, tap in rhythm, or let the line beat on its own — every choice changes how the next wall falls. Get stuck, grow a little, come back stronger.

How to play

Click, tap or press Space. That's it.
Open the tree when the barriers start pushing back.

Best with sound on.

The rest of the day

The full game continues through the green, the blue, the night, and the morning after — where the line splits into many, and everything you built comes together.
